1. Introduction

LinkedGuard ("we", "our", "us") is a browser extension and web application that helps LinkedIn users track their weekly connection request activity. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following information:

• Account information: Email address, full name, and company name (optional) when you sign up.
• Authentication data: Encrypted password hash or Google OAuth token.
• Invite count data: The number of LinkedIn connection requests you send each week. We only store the count — we never store the names, profiles, or any data about the people you invite.
• Subscription data: Payment information is processed and stored by Stripe. We only store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Usage preferences: Your weekly limit setting and notification preferences.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Names or profiles of people you send connection requests to.
• Your LinkedIn messages, posts, or browsing activity.
• Your LinkedIn password or login credentials.
• Any data from other websites or tabs.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To display your weekly invite count and safety status.
• To provide team and agency oversight features for managers.
• To manage your subscription and billing.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication (EU region).
• Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: Application hosting.
• Google OAuth: Optional sign-in method. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your invite count history for up to 13 weeks for dashboard display purposes. Older data is automatically deleted. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our systems.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data (available in Settings > Export Data).
• Rectify inaccurate data (editable in Settings).
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in Settings).
• Data portability — export your data in a standard format.
• Object to processing of your data.

8. Browser Extension Permissions

The LinkedGuard Chrome extension requires access to linkedin.com pages only. It reads the page to detect when you send a connection request and increments your counter. It does not read or modify any other data on LinkedIn or any other website.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Row Level Security (RLS) on our database, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
